Outline

  1. Learn how to take care of chickens and baby chicks.
  2. Get the chicks (4-6 chicks) and make sure to have brooder, feeder, food, bulb, and waterer ready. Be sure to have arrangements to take care of the chicks over the weekends.
  3. Clean brooder every other day and change food any water 2 to 3 times a day.
  4. Make or get a coop and chicken run within 2-3 months as well as find space to keep.
  5. Take care of the chickens over the summer and/or find volunteers to help.
  6. Next school year, talk to students continuing the chicken project if it is to become another project next school year.
